And with the economy, my parents have all had restrictions put on them – with no pay raises, loss of jobs etc…So anything that I can do to make it nice for them i try to

“Our biggest problem with ticket sales is trying to educate patrons about purchasing tickets online. It’s easy and user friendly once they’ve figured it out, and it really gives them the best options, as they can see exactly what seats are available, and where they can sit. It’s difficult to explain via telephone what seats are open, and where they are. Those are just details that are hard to describe. We want patrons to lost the misconception that, if their seats are not in the center section, then they have terrible seats. If they can access our seating chart/information about our theatre on the web, then they can independently make purchases. Because when patrons call us for ticket orders, we’re using the exact same process that they are.”

“Our biggest ticketing challenge is two fold. We struggle with selling tickets and filling seats to several concerts a season. We find booking artists and holding concerts is a lot like gambling. There’s no sure way to know if a concert will be successful.
Secondly, we like to publicize ourselves by selling tickets at multiple vendors locations. This gets confusing because of our ticketing software, and we often oversell a couple of seats.”

“Our biggest challenge is just trying to get advanced sales. To date we have never had advance sales. All our sales are generated at the gate.”

“Our biggest ticketing challenge is awareness, if we can get social media followers an immediate way to purchase tickets without having to redirect to our website, this would be a very customer friendly and time effective tool. If you can purchase tickets on facebook and all your friends see this, it has the potential to become very viral and create a huge awareness for the show and the venue. I see this becoming a very popular item and will be seen all over social media websites to come.”
